[FOOD REVIEW] Paper Plane Cafe, Parramatta

I know, I know. I said I would write a review on snacks.. Guess not for now haha. I haven't been eating snacks lately and would like to keep it this way until I feel tempted again lol. So I thought I'd review this cafe I visited a few weeks earlier.

Paper plane cafe was one I heard quite a few good reviews about in Parramatta so I decided to grab my siblings and go give it a try!
It's probably maximum 15 minutes away from Parramatta station and is quite easy to spot. It's not too big but has a couple of tables inside and outside. Might not be a good idea to eat outside on a windy day though. It has a relatively calm atmosphere with the occasional chatter from the neighbouring tables. Although, I have to recommend that if you're planning to visit, it would be best to come on a week day. For, when I came on the weekend, I had to wait approximately 1 hour (with 5 people) and I waited around 1 and a half hours for my food to come. Pretty ridiculous. In addition, my bread was really hard. Hard to cut, hard to eat. Wasn't impressed. But my friend really wanted to try this place out so I went again on a week day with her and I have to say, my experience was much better this time. Service was swift and food came in a reasonable amount of time.

Too much rambling. Now onto the food!

I believe this was the Peach Melba Tea and I think this tasted quite average and similar to Lipton Iced Tea Peach Flavour. Also, I didn't like the paper straw it came with since it went soft over time, I felt like I was drinking paper in tea. I like the cup though.

The French Toast tasted really creamy with vanilla custard spread all over with a hint of sweetness from the cinnamon and icing sugar. I wasn't a fan of the pistachio on it and thought the vanilla custard was quite overpowering. But I have heard others saying that they really like the French Toast here so to each his own.

Now for the main deal, the Big Brekkie! I was so excited to receive this! But, unfortunately, the bread was really hard and I found it very very difficult to cut it with my knife so I gave up on it. However, the eggs, mushroom, bacon and hash brown were nice. I expected it to be bigger since I saw photos of a larger big breakfast here but I guess it changed. Not the best, but it was okay.

On the next trip to the cafe, I ordered the Paper Plane Burger. The burger and chips were really good! I wasn't a big fan of the peanut butter but the burger tasted quite heavenly with the generous amount of bacon inside it. Definitely worth a try. In addition, the chips tasted so wonderful since it was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Quite drool-worthy and I was satisfied with this meal.

Overall, I think Paper Plane Cafe is worth a visit on the weekdays and I would recommend the Paper Plane Burger if you want some peanut butter in your burgers! My friend enjoyed it more than I did haha. It is also reasonably priced with most of the lunch menu less than $15. However, I think I have eaten better big breakfasts and thus, I would not come back for that.

Restart

As you all may know, I haven't touched my blog in many years. But I've decided to restart this and my life. Well, I guess the biggest reason for this is that since I've graduated, I have felt that my English is deteriorating and I would like to do something that I enjoy whilst keeping my English intact. I won't deny that if things get personal again, I might go back to... Nah, maybe not. Hahaha. But I've decided to blog about carefree topics here. Well, the main reason I want to do something with this blog is because the other day, I was working at my casual job and I was returning some items back to their shelves but every time I was doing this, a customer would ask me where another product was and I would forget where I left the basket of returns. It was so funny how I would spend a minute or two looking for the basket hahaha. Anyways, the point is that my memory is bad! Therefore, I have decided to post about things I like here. I'll post about things related to my skincare and possibly makeup that I really like to remind myself of what products I prefer. I'll probably also spend some time on snacks or restaurants that I particularly like and definitely books!

This will be a good way for me to remember the things I like and do not like and to do something in my life. If I can, I do hope that I can continue and actually do this in order to help dedicate myself to something and keep with it. Over the years, I have continued to blog about problems that have persisted in my life (on tumblr), I hope to do something more positive and more useful to my everyday life than talking about my problems haha. I won't deny that I'll continue to talk about my problems on my other blog and my diary but after seeing others start blogs and see how much effort and time they put into it. I want to do something too. But I'll probably be posting about very simple things. Nothing too professional.

For the first new post, I will probably talk about 7D Mangorind and 7D Dried Mangoes purchased from Daiso Japan (where I work)! Sounds like shameless advertising hahaha! But I am quite impressed with the flavour and taste of these so why not! :)

Until next time~
